Senior Geologist
Requirements:
• Master Degree (or higher) in Geology or similar technical discipline from a Technical University
• Extensive recent experience in static Petrel modelling from data gathering to facies, petro-physical modelling and 3D seismic integration
• Ability to manage Russian, SEC and SPE reserves mapping. Be familiar with reserves classification systems.
• Basic understanding of reservoir engineering, dynamic modelling workflows and waterflood developments.
• Experience with Opportunity Realisation Process (ORP) with Assess & Select phases of development projects
• Experience with working in multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Liaison with Shareholders experience
- good knowledge of technical English and Russian.
Competencies Required:
• Petrel modelling, petro-physical modelling and 3D seismic integration
• Solid understanding of coastal siliciclastic depositional systems and sequence stratigraphy with ability to describe the core
• Well-tie, attribute mapping, depth conversion, seismically guided static modelling,
• Special subsurface visualisation techniques
• It would be an advantage if the candidate is fully familiar with and has recent experience in 3D seismic evaluation using Petrel software. Seismic inversion experience is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
• Create static models, manage scenario building and statistics, design workflows, perform QC
• Deliver subsurface workscope through integrated team work with reservoir engineers, petrophysicists and production technologists.
• Manage technical support and alignment with Geologists in Function and Shareholder Companies
• Understand customer and stakeholder needs, contribute to, participate in and present at Project milestone meetings, working meetings with Shareholders and Meetings and Value Assurance Reviews
