This is an international position. The Technical Safety Engineer will be involved in a major Oil & Gas operator’s project.
Activities:
• Responsible for providing safety engineering input to the engineering design (conceptual design, FEED, detailed design) of the project
• Review and digest the pre-project studies and Basis of Design
• Verify that the deliverables to be produced by the Contractor(s) cover all aspects related to HSE
• Assure engineering input and quality for safety studies (safety concept, safety case, EIA input, QRA related activities
• Perform and facilitate HAZID’s and HAZOP’s on engineering design and abandonment of the installations.
• Control Engineering contractors regarding HSE engineering (Hazard Assessment, Quantitative Risk assessments, risk reducing measures cost-benefit analysis, Risk evaluations with respect to installation activities, Areas classification, Escape routes and Safety plans, Fire and explosion hazard, Environmental Impact Assessment …)
• Review process, safety, mechanical, instrumentation, electrical, legal, contract project documentations against project standards, specifications and international code and standards. Design verification and review of safety critical elements for define overall integrity, functionality and reliability of project assets.

Qualifications and Experience required:
Graduate engineer with minimum 12 years experience in the oil and gas industry.
Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
Fluent Russian is mandatory.
Good communication skills, able to work in a multicultural environment.
