Key responsibilities:
- As a core expert on Offshore Construction in the Technical team, perform review of potential acquisition target(s) to identify operational risks and potential synergies from the acquisitions.
- Evaluate the business processes, EPCI asset technical/operational/PM procedures, safety practices around the area of expertise.
- Analyze the contractual terms and actual performance against those terms, identifying any risks arising from that.
- Analyze the operating performance against offshore construction project budgets, identifying potential risk areas and steps to mitigate those risks.
- Managing the offshore construction work stream on the corporate level by giving clear guidance and direction in procedural compliance with work executed in a safe manner.
- Lead the new business start-up works by providing a conceptual analysis and basic execution plans together with assets; core experts, when required participate in the business negotiation processes and provide a technical/operational expertise; support negotiation for the Business development Director and Operational director
- Promote best practices around offshore safety. Actively promote company safety procedures.
- Study and validate technical/operational decisions/solutions provided by the assets (EPCI contractors).
- Analyze and validate EPCI subcontractors, products and materials suppliers, support EPC Contracting Expert on ITT process.
- Provide a technical expertize for the investment committee when requested.
- Oversee / monitor all project related offshore works / activities, ensuring compliance with approved scopes of work, procedural compliance and that the work is executed in an entirely safe manner.
- Act as focal point for communications between E&P operating company, project & offshore operations, implement offshore progress monitoring and reporting mechanisms.
- Guide the project planners to ensure accurate work scopes are entered into the project plans as to avoid execution conflicts and maximize resource efficiency.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in the management and control of a multi disciplined construction teams offshore.
- Ideally, extensive field management experience, followed by a senior role in corporate office with direct responsibility for multiple offshore construction project management.
- Extensively trained in newest up to date technologies and techniques as applied to the area of expertise.
- Fluent English a must, working knowledge of Russian a significant plus.
- Professional qualifications in engineering, offshore construction, safety and project management
- Exposure to multicultural environments, ability to work beyond the job spec
