Multinational oil production Company – the global leader on the energy market is looking for Senior Inspection Engineer.
Function:
Technical accountabilities:
• Sets inspection strategies based on RBI studies and if required initiates/leads updates RBI studies, implementation of RBI in his plant/asset;
• Plans all static equipment inspections and coordinates with the maintenance planner to ensure time and cost-effective execution of static equipment inspections;
• Fulfils the role of Technical Authority (TA 2) for static equipment inspection. Approves modifications and repairs of static equipment;
• Analyses and interprets all inspection data for his area;
• Maintain and execute accurate equipment inspection schedules and records. Provide advice and recommendations to maintain plant integrity. Act as curator of inspection history providing transparent access to all;
• Supervise NDT contract services;
• Supervise inspection of received materials, manufacture and repair to ensure compliance with specified requirements;
• Ensure static equipment both new and existing, comply with company and regulatory inspection and design code requirements;
• Assist in structured development of nationals to fulfill line positions;
• Introduce systems and tools that will continuously, and where possible in a step change manner, improve the availability of the complex;
• Contributes to RCM-studies and RCA studies;
• Developing and maintaining the Technical Integrity of Static Equipment installed including corresponding Technical data Integrity;
• Co-ordinates inspection schedules for maintenance shutdowns and is able to agree these with authorities, execute and report clearly.
General accountabilities:
• Ensuring that advice given on inspection, maintenance, application, procurement, modification, design, construction and contract of static equipment is fit for purpose and customer focused, i.e. aiming at being the “preferred supplier” for these services;
• Conduct technical negotiations with relevant authorities, certifying bodies and institutes;
• Owner of the S-RBI (Shell Risk Based Inspection) process, responsible for RBI implementation and dissemination of RBI philosophy in Operations and Maintenance;
• Contribute to technical evaluation of contractors in the areas: inspection, engineering, maintenance and construction. Contract holder of mechanical inspection contracts;
• To lead, prepare and contribute to internal and external technical audits and studies: FAIR, HSE, RRM, HAZOP, RCA etc.;
• To being up-to-date on the status of mechanical inspections, e.g. backlogs, activities, implementation of advices, quality assurance of these and the risk associated;
• Accountable for the correctness and retrievability of the inspection data, up-to-date databases and reporting of inspection KPI’s.
Requirements:
• HSE competences according to standards;
• Fundamental operating principles of industrial process systems;
• Excellent communications skills;
• Leadership, coaching, facilitation and teamwork skills;
• Change management, negotiation skills and diplomacy;
• Extensive knowledge of materials degradation phenomena, material properties, NDT, design codes and manufacturing processes;
• RBI methodologies;
• Data-Doc management;
• Regulatory codes and requirements.
