Position
PERMIT TO WORK SUPERVISOR
Function
• The permit to work supervisor is a key function in the implementation of the Permit to Work procedure acting under the responsibility of the Production superintendent, while the RSES has the overall responsibility for the enforcement of the work permit procedure;
• Ensures that daily Operations are performed in accordance with the Health Safety and Environment legislation and in compliance with the TEPR Procedures;
• Responsible for the review of work permits for activities of OPS/MNT/DOD and TVX inside CPF and liaison with PTW coordinator for PJC permits;
• Act as Back-up for the Production Supervisor in case of absence;
• Participate in JRA development and meetings;
• Develop understanding of SIMOPS and the main challenges related to these activities;
• Aware of plant safety systems (F&G, restricted zones, fire zones, implementation on electrical, mechanical, instrument isolations);
• Assisting the entities in the preparation of Work Permits as per Company Permit to Work procedure;
• Ensure that work requester provides suitable and sufficient auxiliary documents to the permit such as Method Statements, Job Risk Assessment, Lifting Operation Plan, Drawings, sketches and layouts as necessary;
• Responsible for job pack determination /creation and follow up. (multiple entities working on same equipment covered by common isolation list);
• Follow up on all long term isolations / inhibition;
• Administrate and control the work Permit process, avoiding conflict between activities and to record and maintain files of ongoing, suspended, pending and closed work permits;
• Assisting production supervisor in opening permits, he has authority to open permits in NON-process areas;
• In close coordination with HSE, construction, operations department, monitors the PTW system and ensure company rules and regulations are respected;
• Participate in the HSE programs on site, particular attention to PTW Audits, Safety Meetings, etc…;
• Registers deviations from PTW system and proposes corrective actions;
• Keep log for opportunity job and have the PTW ready for implementation;
• Provides PTW trainings upon request.
Requirements
• Technical skills of Process or related Engineering Field with Oil &Gas Industry focus;
• At least 3 years experience in operations;
• Fluent in English;
• Adaptability and ability to work with contractors, good communication skills;
• Broad range of computer skills, particular to MicroSoft Office Suite to include MS Project;
• Autonomy is required;
• Driving licence (B category).
