Function
• Carries out Material Replenishment Planning (MRP) on a regular basis (approx every 1-2 weeks) and confirms that proposed Purchase Requisitions (PR’s) are accurate, including no duplicate orders, before finalizing for approval. Confirmation of proposed PR’s includes working cross functionally with any of the Metier partners to analyze planned usage vs material in stock vs requirement to optimize PR quantity.
• Prepares statistical reports related to Procurement progress and stock set-ups, answers and resolves queries raised by stores personnel at operating locations and maintains records of activities.
• Ensures that all information in Material Master Request Form (MMRF) is complete and correct before creating new stock/direct procure items. This includes checking budget price and coding of all new materials to ensure proper specification and part numbers are applied.
• Checks and revises database descriptions of stock material and performs local technical enquiry in order to update and rationalise data (Manufacturer Part Number, Short & Long description to be reviewed and completed, Material group, etc.) required for each item in the Master Material database. Further, analyzes SALSA database to ensure that there are no duplicate items registered.
• Carries out duties related to the continuous review, updating and rationalisation of database lists of materials, spare parts and equipment kept in stock at Company's main warehouses. This includes analysis and review of stock item MRP settings on a regular basis with Metier Partners, identification of materials used at more than one location to standardise on stock set-ups and reviewing regular inventory status and stock management reports.
• Carries out the follow up and optimization of the Material Master database (approximately 19500 items). Ensures that it contains adequate links (code) for interface between SAP and Datastream (CMMS) for Maintenance material requirement.
• Assists with inventory counting, disposition of surplus/scrap materials and other analysis of stock database as required by Senior Materials Management Officer and/or Head of Procurement.
• Assisting Purchasing team with basic purchasing activities when required.
Requirements
• Bachelor degree in a related discipline (stock / material control theoretical knowledge) is preferred
• 1 year experience in stores and/or stock / material control within the Oil/Gas industry is preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of software (Access and Excel) and computerised material control system (SAP).
• Excellent practice of English (spoken and written)
