General Information:
Sakhalin Energy Investment Company Ltd. (Sakhalin Energy) is the operator of the Sakhalin-2 project under a Production Sharing Agreement with the Russian Federation. The company was formed in 1994 to develop the Piltun-Astokhskoye oil field and the Lunskoye gas field in the Sea of Okhotsk offshore Sakhalin Island in the Russian Far East.
Sakhalin Energy is a unique partnership drawing upon global oil and LNG expertise and experience.
Under the shareholding structure of Sakhalin Energy, Gazprom holds 50% plus 1 share, Shell 27.5%, Mitsui 12.5% and Mitsubishi 10%.

Type of position: permanent
Reporting line: Offshore Construction Superintendent/ Construction and Commissioning Manager
Dimensions:
- the construction engineer should be in regular contact with the other disciplines in the project group to ensure a fully integrated approach;
- this position is a development position towards Senior and thereafter Construction Manager in the company.
Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- discipline integrity and direction;
- discipline knowledge and advice;
- construction technology and development advice;
- benchmarking;
- construction philosophies, policies and procedures;
- ensure Standards are clear and understood;
- offshore construction and commissioning support;
- fabrication support and management;
- materials management;
- interface with Engineering Services contractor;
- interface with Construction and Fabrication contractor;
- manage and respond to construction and fabrication Technical Queries;
- review of structural, mechanical and piping Construction Workpacks and drawings;
- review of structural, mechanical and piping Fabrication Workpacks and drawings;
- operation and interrogation of plant modelling software;
- application of international and Russian standards for structural, mechanical and piping systems;
- application of quality systems for structural, mechanical and piping systems.
Experience and Qualifications required:
- higher education in Mechanical Engineering;
- 5+ years experience in the Mechanical or equivalent engineering discipline;
- offshore construction (Brownfield projects) desirable;
- project experience is of advantage;
- familiar with Construction engineering software tools;
- language: fluent in Russian and conversant in oral and written English.
