General Information:
Sakhalin Energy Investment Company Ltd. (Sakhalin Energy) is the operator of the Sakhalin-2 project under a Production Sharing Agreement with the Russian Federation. The company was formed in 1994 to develop the Piltun-Astokhskoye oil field and the Lunskoye gas field in the Sea of Okhotsk offshore Sakhalin Island in the Russian Far East.
Sakhalin Energy is a unique partnership drawing upon global oil and LNG expertise and experience.
Under the shareholding structure of Sakhalin Energy, Gazprom holds 50% plus 1 share, Shell 27.5%, Mitsui 12.5% and Mitsubishi 10%.
Location: RF, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
Type of position: permanent.
Reporting line: HSE General Manager
Dimensions:
- 160 LNG cargoes exported per year, which equates to 10 mt of LNG exported per year.
Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- provide services to Sakhalin Energy in respect to marketing and economic analysis on LNG pricing concepts for Korea, Singapore North East Asia and Sakhalin Energy’s overall LNG marketing policy, specifically concentrating on Kogas, Shell Eastern Trading Ltd. (SETL) and Gazprom Global LNG (GGLNG);
- managing the team responsible for North Asia LNG marketing, swaps and spot sales;
- managing the relationship with the Long Term non-Japanese LNG Buyers Kogas, SETL and GGLNG;
- continuing to improve the contractual relationship with these LT Buyers by increasing the prices and simplifying the SPAs;
- develop and Manage the LNG upside cargo sales scheme with the four Shareholders Trading Affiliate Companies;
- negotiate the Master Spot Agreements with all four Shareholder Trading Affiliates
- be responsible for collecting and providing data on Sakhalin Energy competitors, both pipeline and LNG;
- support the SPA improvement negotiations between Sakhalin Energy and Kogas, SETL and GGLNG, provide specific help on drafting documents;
- maintain and enhance Sakhalin Energy relationship with Kogas and other potential customers in Korea;
- liaise with MKE regarding policy directions in Korea on gas market deregulation and restructuring and provide pro-active and timely advice on shifts in policy which will influence Sakhalin Energy LNG marketing strategy;
- liaise with the Shareholders, including arranging visits of Sakhalin Energy to the buyers;
- arrange visits of LNG buyers from Korea, Singapore and other North Asian countries to Sakhalin so as to enhance the relationships.
Experience and Qualifications required:
- higher professional education;
- previous work experience in international companies 10 years as oil (preferably gas) trader, experience in selling other products is also possible;
- excellent communication and negotiation skills;
- understanding of different cultural approaches to business issues;
- flexibility of thinking; ability to get around problems and find alternative solutions to a problem;
- ability to keep many different stakeholders opinions and desires involved and get all of them aligned;
- fluent in English.
