This position is based in Russia. The Quantity surveyor will be involved in a major Gas Oil & Gas operator’s project.
Activities:
• Remeasurement of quantities: Checking and verifying Subcontractor’s remeasurement submissions (quantities, compliance with measurement conventions, contractual entitlement) and comparing with information received from YOC, POC and SOC;
• Remeasurement files: maintain files for all remeasurement exercises ;
• Quantities forecasting: maintain updates forecasts of main quantities, based upon internal information received from Home Office;
• Changes in the Work and Variations: examining all quantum justifications given by Subcontractor for any Change or Variation requests, Change Proposals and the like; evaluating prices and unit rates proposed by Subcontractor and advising Subcontract Administrator accordingly;
• Star rates: preparation of star rates for new items of work;
• Backcharges: assist, along with Cost department as required, in preparing any quantum section for back charges towards Subcontractor;
• Client Changes: assist, along with Cost department, in preparing quantum section for any request / submissions to be made towards Client;
• Commercial negotiations & meetings: as requested by Subcontract Eingineer, assist and participate in commercial discussions & negotiations with Subcontractor regarding Changes in the Work, Variations, Backcharges and the like;
• Payment Certificates: verifying monthly progress and other Subcontractor payment requests; preparing Payment Certificates;
• Site Instructions: evaluating and estimating Site Instruction works that potentially produce a Change in the Work;
• Confidentiality: ensure confidentiality of all subcontract information is strictly maintained.

Qualifications and Experience required:
Graduate Engineer with minimum 5 years experience in oil and gas industry;
Fluent in English (speaking and writing);
Fluent Russian is mandatory;
Good communication skills, able to work in a multicultural environment.
