QA/QC ENGINEER (PROCUREMENT)

Key functions:
• Participate, as part of the Project Quality Management System, in the development of control documentation for procurement (e.g., procedures and guidelines)
• Participate in development of key documentation for procurement (e.g. Project Specifications, Technical Requisitions) to verify the compliance of quality requirements with project standards
• Participate in the assessment of Tenderers’ Offers to assess compliance with established quality requirements
• Coordinate the quality activities undertaken for the Vendor Qualification program
• Review critical documentation produced by Vendors (e.g., Inspection and Test Plans), and advise on “fitness for purpose”
• Evaluate, select and obtain the Company approval for surveillance personnel supplied by QA-QC Services Agencies
• Maintain the QA-QC Manager abreast of quality matters related to the procurement program
• Coordinate the review of Non-Conformance Reports issued during procurement, advise on corrective actions and maintain the project Register
• Monitor the performance of quality surveillance programs and QA-QC Service Agencies, advising the QA-QC Manager accordingly
• Monitor the delivery of final documentation to site and advise accordingly

Requirements:
• Basic Education: Graduate engineer with in-depth knowledge of quality management for medium/large procurement programs
• Basic Trade Qualifications:
1) Welding: Senior Welding Inspector-CSWIP 3.2;
2) NDT: ASNT Level II for RT, UT, PT and DP;
3) Corrosion Protection: CSWIP Coating & Painting Inspector;
4) Auditing: IRCA Certified
• Experience: At least 5 years proven experience in QA/QC aspects with large oil and gas projects with minimum 2 years within the O&G manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of typical O&G codes & standards (e.g., BS, ASME, ANSI, API) is a plus
• Good communication, supervisory and team working skills with ability to establish successfully bridges across cultures
• Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
