Position Plant Design Engineer Responsibilities • Execute the functional design (mechanical & civil) as well as manage the detailed design with outsourced parties • Prepare engineering specifications for mechanical detail engineering and mechanical site construction works in line with approved design and safety standards. • Cooperate closely with other project team members to coordinate design efforts in order to eliminate duplication and reiterations in the work process. • Assist drafting specialists in drafting activities related to design and construction and you follow up incoming and outgoing drawings of subcontractors • Provide initiatives for improvements in the areas of safety, reliability, schedules and costs. • Work with the project team to ensure that the design requirements are incorporated into various project documents such as construction drawings and P&ID's.
Requirements • Masters degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent • Excellent knowledge of English • Strong technical knowledge of piping and structural designs • Excellent proficiency in the use of drafting/design software (eg autocad or equivalent) and other office software • Deeply engrained focus on safety issues & quality standards
