Basic Functions and Scope:
Be responsible for using piping engineering background to plan and oversee various construction efforts in piping system of this project. Apply piping engineering principles to ensure that all detail piping be installed in accord with codes, standards, specification, met project target on time.
Tasks and Duties:
• Reviews all documentation, prints and correspondence relating to assigned areas of responsibility;
• Prepares and maintains checklists, punch list, flow diagrams and procedures;
• Coordinates between construction team and project engineering to rectify technical problems associated with the construction phase of the project;
• Inspects components for conformance to specifications and standards and equipment and rigging devices for suitability;
• Supervise field survey parties in the layout of lines and grades and other site preparation work;
• Coordinates the activities of contractor in their area of responsibility and monitors their activities to ensure that construction proceeds according to technical specifications, within the construction schedule, and in accordance with applicable safety regulations and quality requirements;
• Performs locally required designs for temporary facilities;
• Coordinates construction activities with the QC function to satisfy the requirements or engineering codes, specification and directs the preparation of required isometric drawings;
• Maintains accurate records of work progress and keeps construction manager informed as to problem areas and delays;
• Electrical installation work execution plan and installation sequence development;
• Coordinate and expedite work plan, timely report updated work execution status to construction manager;
• Daily site check many times to ensure that the work execution plan fits the location;
• Monitor and supervise progress, daily progress record and ensure to meet work schedule;
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills / Certificates
• Must be a B.E.in Mechanical Engineering;
• 8 years of relevant experience and at least 5 years of experience as piping engineer, within the nature gas, petrochemical or Oil and Gas industries in similar capacity;
• 3 years of experience in construction work planning and site work execution;
• Excellent problem solving capabilities and above average communication skills.
Requirements:
• Must be a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering;
• Must have 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas Industry preferably Project base;
• Must be computer literate;
• Must have a Pleasant personality.
