The position is open in a large oil and gas company. Location is oilfield in Eastern Siberia, rotational basis 28/28 days.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the activities of assigned personnel and Contractor. Perform supervisory functions at the level established for the position. - To ensure that the required technical competence in NDT work is maintained by the qualified and specialised contractor and subcontractor staff at all levels. - To provide mentoring for the development of welding & NDT technical professionals. - To review and monitor project constructions regarding NDT activities to ensure compliance and to safeguard the technical integrity of the plant. - To keep abreast of all standards and contract regulations as they affect the execution of NDT and piping works; and to participate in evaluation and analysis of problems and their resolution. - To carry out regular inspections and audits on plant facilities to ensure optimal NDT conditions. - To handle inspections of NDT works and to provide advice to other inspectors regarding related problems. - Conduct visits, surveillance activities and/or compliance audits at the Site Works as per schedule or, as and when required.
Requirements:
- Education: B.Sc. in metallurgy or mechanical engineering. - Additional NDT Level II Qualifications to Russian Standards in RT, UT, PT, MT and VT are required. - Equivalent internationally acknowledged levels would be appreciated as well: minimum Level II (EN 473) for the same processes. - Experience: at least 5 years’ solid working experience in NDT jobs in the oil and gas industry; knowledge of Russian, American, UK and EN codes and standards; good experience of NDT procedures. - NDT Welding and Piping experience with construction and commissioning. - Good knowledge of welding and welding test practices. - Fluent in English (speaking and writing) and Russian.
