Our client - one of the biggest international oil and gas company.

Activities
Conduct geosciences evaluation of new business opportunities: Exploration and Fields
Conduct regional studies supporting remaining potential evaluation in mature and frontier basins
Guarantee the completion of geosciences studies in accordance with professional standards and industry’s best practices
Contribute to Company’s knowledge base progress
Establish a local Knowledge Network of Companies, Institutes and local contractors
Ensure scout activities related to blocs licensing by Ministry and companies operating in Russia
Screen and Participate to the identification and ranking of Exploration / Discovered Resources Opportunities (“DRO”) in selected basins
Validate geological data used as basis for project evaluations
Conduct exploration resources evaluation
Participate to DRO resources and reserves evaluation
Guarantee the geological evaluation related to exploration and DRO studies
Recommend relation with local Institutes, as relevant with respect to Company activity and projects
Participate in the definition of geosciences studies objectives (internal and institutes)
Recommend specific studies in relation to new project evaluation
Supervise geological studies entrusted to institutes
Participate constructively and according to Company ‘best interests in the communication on technical matters with partners, others companies, administrations and institutes
Prepare documents and reports to support Company PN recommendation to HQ as well as communication with external entities
Participate to Russian professionals recruitment and training
Assist in management of PN Moscow team

Accountability
Identification and Geosciences evaluation of new opportunities
Preparation, presentation and support geosciences studies related to New Projects Exploration and DRO

Required Qualifications / Experience
Good knowledge and practice of geological interpretation techniques and method, knowledge in geophysical interpretation
Good knowledge and practice of basin, fields and O&G prospects evaluation
Experience in management of technical teams
University degree in petroleum geology (PhD equivalent)
10 years experience in petroleum geology and exploration evaluation in O&G companies / Institutes
International experience or work in JV between Russian / foreign companies is a plus
Russian fluent/native
English fluent
Willing to work in a team
