Position Description:

The Operations Manager will be responsible for driving the overall business performance of the Flowserve OOO operations including full P&L and balance sheet responsibility. Of critical importance will be the close liaison with key customers, vendors as well as the Intercompany relations with Flowserve Service centers and Business units to deliver the business performance as measured by revenue growth, operating income, cash flow, cycle time reduction and on time delivery.

Position Requirements:

A University degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related qualifications is preferred.
Extensive operational experience in similar applications will be considered as well as demonstrable growth achievements in mature markets.
Preferably has comprehensive experience in rotating equipment products.
Show an ability to recognize and attract talent, coach, counsel, mentor and lead a team of individuals.
Demonstrate an ability to maintain and build positive working relationships within the department, across department and division boundaries, as well as with internal and external customers.
Be a self-motivated contributing team member.
Have excellent communication skills with strong presentation and influencing capabilities.
Demonstrate leadership ability in a manufacturing environment.
Have strong cost center management experience as part of his/her respective operational responsibilities and have a solid track record in providing positive results.
Demonstrate experience in continuous improvement processes and tools and will be familiar with Lean Manufacturing practices.
Demonstrate experience with low cost sourcing.
He/she will have a high energy level and a strong work ethic, with the ability to instill these characteristics in others.
Possess superior multitasking skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and will also be very safety minded.
Fluent in English (speaking and writing).

Key Responsibilities

Meet the financial plan and monthly forecasts for bookings, sales, operating income, cash flow, working capital.
Establish the appropriate structure for OOO operation and define the roles and key objectives of the associates, so as to meet the business requirements.

Support a dedicated AM / enduser sales team which focusses on the key endusers on a day today basis.

Ensure that development and training programs are in place to enhance the company’s talent pool.

Recognize and promote talent and provide a dynamic working environment for high potential individuals.

Develop the business by focusing on existing and new customers/markets, striving for excellence of service and products whilst driving to achieve lowest cost manufacturing base.

Lead improvement within the company in the areas of environment, health and safety, productivity, efficiency, costs and expenses, quality, OTD, and lead times by promoting CIP programs allocating resources and actively participating in teams work.

Ensure full compliance with local laws, compliance with US Law as applicable to a Russian subsidiary, compliance with company policies and procedures and adherence to company values.

Extensively communicate with managers and employees about the strategies, plans and programs of the company to promote involvement:

Leads by example and creates an open and transparent communication structure in his team, with sales and with the Northern European regional team to which Russia belongs.

Is open to communicate, accept and apply best practices from peers to improve the level of the OOO organization.
Actively develop and maintain a strong control environment as required by US Sarbanes Oxley legislation that safeguards the Company’s assets and reports accurate and timely financial information to Flowserve Corporation and external bodies as appropriate.
