Large international oil and gas company is looking for Quality Engineer!
The Quality Engineer is primarily responsible for witnessing and ensuring Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) at the well site and/or Company and Contractor operating bases to ensure Good and Services provided meet Company technical and quality requirements. The Quality Engineer works under the supervision of the Drill Team Quality Representative (DTQR) and also assists the DTQR in developing and implanting the Drill Team Quality Plan as needed.
Basic Requirements
The Quality Engineer must:
1. Possess a basic knowledge of drilling and completion operations.
2. Be aware of drilling industry standards such as API and TH Hill DS1.
3. Be capable of coordinating and working with Company and Contractor personnel at the well site and/or Company and Contractor operating bases.
4. Have organizational, communication and documentation skills.
5. Be computer literate and have a good understanding of Microsoft Office and programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
6. Be fluent in English (i.e., speaking, reading, and writing). Fluency in Russian is desirable.
Basic Responsibilities
The Quality Engineer is responsible for:
1. Coordinating and witnessing Pre-Job Tool & Equipment Inspections and Preparations at the well site and/or Company and Contractor operating bases.
2. Ensuring Critical Goods and Services contractors follow the prescribed Quality Plans implemented by the DTQR.
3. Reviewing, approving and documenting inspection and audit results.
4. Ensuring that all Good and Services received meet Company Technical and Quality requirements.
5. Directing, witnessing and overseeing implementation of Company Preventative Maintenance (PM), Inspection and Test Programs.
6. Ensuring Contractor Preventive Management (PM) programs are implemented in the field.
7. Assisting the Drilling and Logistics Supervisors as necessary in developing casing and tubing tally’s, witnessing operations, participating in Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s), etc.
8. Initiating, developing and/or assisting in closing of out non-conformance and deficiency reports.
9. Ensuring all goods found to be rejected or non-conforming are identified and documented as such, and then segregated separately from conforming goods until repair and/or final disposition.
10. Participating in and documenting on-site Equipment Failure Investigations and Root Cause Analysis.
11. Participate in Meeting, including the Morning Rig Calls, Pre Spud Meetings, etc.
12. Performing special project as directed.
13. Ensure equipment delivered to and from is properly packaged and protected.
14. Ensure all goods found to be reject or non-conforming are identified and documented as such, and then segregated separately from conforming product until final disposition is realized
