A large oil and gas company is looking for Mechanical Supervisor.
Job Scope
Oversee Contractor’s mechanical and piping construction works as assigned by the Mechanical Superintendent for performance of work in accordance with project objectives and priorities. Mechanical Supervisor assists the Mechanical Superintendent in resolving Contractor’s site mechanical and piping issues. Provide support to the Mechanical Superintendent to ensure mechanical and piping construction work complies with all safety, quality, engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instructions applicable to the Mechanical works. Ensure compliance with Company's health, environment and safety requirements. Support Company's incident and injury free workplace culture.

Job Responsibilities
• Line Management responsibility for site safety performance
• Promote safety awareness and safe performance among project team members, including consultants and contractor personnel
• Monitor and appraise the Contractor's performance for safety, quality, schedule and cost; ensure that appropriate corrective actions are taken where needed
• Assist Contractor and Subcontractors achieve the Contract expectations
• Ensure Contractor is implementing and maintaining effective work planning and execution
• Work with Person In Charge (PIC) to assure all mitigations are in place for mechanical and piping works
• Review permits as directed by Mechanical Superintendent
• Keep Mechanical Superintendent advised of progress, issues, major project developments, and anticipated work scope completion
• Provide CNI and IIF perspective to Contractor's performance
• Verify physical progress
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Mechanical Superintendent as needed.
• Work closely with QA/QC representatives with regard to the Contractor’s Equipment Dossiers
Job Qualifications:
• College engineering degree (Mechanical preferred, Civil, or Electrical) with an understanding of technical engineering
• Knowledge of construction activities including material, equipment, cost and time requirements to perform construction tasks
• Knowledge of codes and specifications that apply to Oil and Gas Industry
• 6 to 10 years of related construction industry experience.
• Tenacity to overcome obstacles.
• Interpersonal/communication skills to interface with colleagues at all levels without creating conflict.
• Computer skills using Microsoft Applications (Excel/Word/Outlook).
• Ability to pass Russian Federation Labor Safety Training and Industrial Safety Training (Category A and B2 in particular)
• Fluency in written and spoken Russian is required. (English skills a plus)
