Large international oil and gas company is looking for an Accountant!
Key Job Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable.
Processes invoices from third parties.
Verifies invoices are prepared in accordance with contractual agreements, obtains expenditure and payment approval signatures in accordance with current DOA, checks tax calculations, and prepares journal entries for payables transactions.
Monitors prepayment and suspense account balances, prepares journal entries for clearance transactions.
Accounts Payable Disbursements.
Manages payment of invoice obligations.
Controls payment cycle – generates payment reports, reviews payments, input of invoices into Cash&Banking system.
Cash Forecasting .
Monitors cash balances and cash requirements for invoice obligations.
Prepares cash call requests.
Responsible for local cash withdrawal for replenishment of petty cash accounts.
Prepares journal entries to record cash movements and miscellaneous bank transactions.
Collection of Supporting Documents.
Collect/Prepare/Obtain backups for reporting month for the project.
Liaison with other groups on this matter.
Documentation.
Perform archiving, filing destroying of documents.
File Maintenance & Other.
Collects, organizes, and files all supporting documents & reference materials for Job Functions 1 through 5.
Performs other accounting duties as directed by Finance Manager.
Job Qualifications:
English language at upper-intermediate level.
3 years of relating experience in accounting.
Accuracy, attentiveness to details is necessary.
