Job Description:
We are seeking a Production Engineer and/or Reservoir Engineer to help develop onshore projects. 5+ years with the responsibility for the evaluation, development, and implementation of short to long term production plans and forecast of wells, platforms, and fields, and for maintaining required safety training and compliance.
Identifies opportunities and provides economics, procedures and implementation planning and oversight for workovers, recompletions, sidetracks, artificial lift, optimization, intervention, surveillance, well integrity, P&A's and other work needed on existing wells and infrastructure. Knowledgeable in nodal analysis and fluid flow in reservoirs and wellbores.
Knowledgeable in pressure, volume, temperature analysis of reservoir fluids. Awareness of pressure and rate transient analysis.
Conducts analysis, optimization, production maintenance and improvements on wells, platforms, and fields. Provides engineering support to other technical staff and departments; like land, finance, accounting, and EHSR; as required. Responsible work for the evaluation, development, and implementation of short and long term production plans and forecasts of wells, platforms, and fields, and for maintaining required safety training and compliance. Awareness of pressure and rate transient analysis.
• Under general supervision, performs all aspects of work applying new information and concepts.
• Assists in developing recommendations for more difficult and complex issues.
• Assists in the management of production operations by setting and maintaining production goals in assigned area of operations, including drilling, facility design and maintenance, water flood design, and production equipment design.
• Provides post appraisals and look backs for work completed and applies lessons learned accordingly.
• Monitors the economic recovery during the reservoir development and production stages through well placement, secondary recovery designs and day-to-day production engineering on operated fields.
• Designs, prepares and may perform workovers and other production optimization and enhancement procedures.
• Prepares AFEs for projects.
• Is responsible for budgeting well placement, reservoir development, reserves additions, and completion decisions.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline
• Typically requires 5 years of related experience.
• Normal office environment
• Fluent in English
