• Execution preventive & Corrective Maintenance for Field Instrumentation:
A. Function Test of IPF Loops
B. Calibration of BPCS Field Instrumentation
C. Emergency repair response of devices, cables, communication & signal lines & following investigations
D. Fire & Gas System assurance activities
• Troubleshooting from Instrument side related issues in close collaboration with Plant C&A Engineer, EMCS Engineer, Vendor representative, etc.
• Manage of GTPP Instrument Technician Team: working resources, competency assessment, training and development Plan, working discipline.
• Support of GTPP Vendors, DCS and C&A Engineers in case of ICSS, DCN, SCADA, etc. related problems. Continuously improving system related knowledge’s in order to be able do effective self-sufficient troubleshooting.
• Ensures that all work is carried out in line with the relevant HSE Policies, Permit to Work System and that the Environmental Standards are being adhered to
• Ensure Instruments are calibrated and verified in line with COMPANY and Regulatory requirements. All relevant activities to be documented and completion of such to be reported to the Planner and log activities in CMMS
• Assist with development of specific procedures and work instructions. Preparation work packs for complex job.
• Prepare and submit equipment failure investigation Reports
• Monitor and take part in PTW systems as Instrument Isolation Authority, Performing Authority.
• Regularly review critical Instrument spares holdings.
• Supply information for technical handovers pre / post field breaks
• Promote the use of Checklists.
• Take Part in Root Cause Analysis studies as required.
• Support the commissioning process. Involving in FAT, SAT if will be required.
• Compile or receive detailed written Handover prior to; and completion of leave and/or field breaks
• Assist and Monitors other COMPANY`s contractors in carrying out their respective work. Particular attention to be paid to Compliance with the PTW system and compliance with respective HSE Standards
• On request take Part in Meetings related to the Management of Change Process (MOC) for the GTPP
Requirements:
• English: intermediate
• Technical Degree in either Instrument or Electronics
• Qualified Instrument Technician / Electronic Technician with 8+ years’ experience in a Gas Turbine Power plant
• Electrical Safety Certificate is mandatory
• Is familiar with IEC, IEEE, NFPA and other international standards
• Preferably COMPEX qualified (or equivalent qualification)
• Good exposure to a CMMS preferably SAP knowledge
Conditions:
• Work on a shift basis 28/28, Iraq, Badra (Project GPN Badra).
• International contract (usd).
• All travel expenses are paid for by the employer.
