Job Description:
• Report to Audit Manager (Head of Internal Audit Department);
• Assist in and lead SEIC internal audits (team of up to 5 people) to provide SEIC senior management and shareholders with an independent and informed assessment of the state of business controls framework;
• Be accountable for the effective execution of audits in line with agreed KPIs, standards, and within budget;
• Participate in the development of the SEIC Integrated Assurance Plan; develop a detailed schedule of audits and resourcing based on the annual plan;
• Be in charge of Business Control Incident reporting process;
• Work with Business Integrity specialists on investigations as necessary;
• Coordinate preparation for the Board Assurance Comittee.
Shall Have the Knowledge of:
• At least 8 years experience in the business / finance at progressive levels;
• A strong technical or financial background is a plus;
• Knowledge and familiarity with Upstream and/or Downstream businesses (EP life cycle, joint ventures, assets, contracts, project management);
• Ability to quickly grasp key risks issues and identify effective remedies;
• Experience with the implementation of risk policies and guidelines;
• Fluency in written and spoken English, excellent report writing skills;
• Customer focus;
• Demonstrates professional mastery;
• Demonstrates courage and integrity;
• Motivates, Coaches and Develops; Displays personal effectiveness.
• Upon joining, a comprehensive self-learning tool (Jump Start Kit) will allow the incumbent to make him/herself quickly familiar with the SEIC audit methodology;
• Within the first six months of the assignment, the incumbent will also participate in the Shell led Audit Training Course in order to complete the competence requirements to become a Lead Auditor. After 12 to 18 months a follow-up training in report writing and other audit specific skills is also mandatory.
