6 months contract with possible prolongation
Purpose:
This position ensures to provide OCTG and drilling & completions equipment and services that meet Company and industry quality standards in order to minimize project costs and delays due to quality related problems.
Skill Pool:
Well Engineering / Completion & Well Intervention
Preferences:
- Chartered or Incorporated engineer or metallurgist
- Lead or Internal QMS Auditor (preferred)
- Relevant qualification, training background of inspection applications and techniques
- Competent QA/ QC Supervisor, with a minimum of 10 years oil & gas international experience.
- Previous experience working in an international environment is an asset
- Higher Education / Diploma), time served apprenticeship.
- Proven project / team / man management skills.
- Proven track record in delivering results in a challenging environment.
- Experience in offshore drilling and completion operations is an advantage.
- Ability to speak Russian a distinct advantage.
KEY COMPETENCES
- Ability to perform ISO 9001: 2008 / API Q1 based quality system audits, knowledge of the standard and the understanding of manufacturer’s quality systems structure
- Familiar with the following specifications: API 5CT, 5L, 14A, 11D1, 14L, 6A
- General understanding of oil field material types, destructive and non-destructive testing such as tensile, charpy, magnetic particle, Ultrasonic Testing, API 5CT PSL1 & 2, API 5L
- Familiar with OCTG grades and mill inspections
- Familiar with drillpipe connections and knowledge of DS-1 inspections
- Skill in reviewing and approving Contractor Quality Plans / Inspection and test plans
- Knowledge of premium threading, premium connection makeup, acceptable connection makeup graphs
- Knowledge of Completion and Drilling Equipment
- User of MS Office applications and SAP
- Able to reach technical conclusions, with minimal direct supervision
- Ability to interface with, and influence, a wide variety of contacts, including SEIC management, staff, and contractors.
- Enthusiastic, self-starter and an excellent communicator
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Act as the Well Engineering and Completion and Well Intervention Authority on Quality related matters
- Coordination and participation of all TDW QA/QC activities e.g. Contractor Quality plans, Inspections, QAQC Audits, RCFA and investigations
- OCTG forecast management: Ensure future casing, tubing, pup joints, and x-over demand is properly forecasted and orders are placed with OCTG Contractor and other suppliers
- Drillpipe inspection and inspection of all other TDW movable items e.g. temporary pipe work package
- Contract Holder responsibilities, ensure appropriate HSE management plan is in place, Approve various contracts for procurement of drilling and completions equipment and OCTG; manage contract issues and changes
- Co-ordinate third party inspections on a global basis
- Liaise with global Shell expert and Trouble Action Team
- Provide technical input to equipment and material specifications
- Participate in Asset HSE Programmes (STOP/Audit/Incident Review).
- Capture and report project quality performance and where necessary make recommendations for areas of improvement.
CHALLENGES
- Geographical isolation requiring the foresight and Planning to mitigate all risks and ensure contingencies are in place.
- Sub-Arctic off shore environment
- Extreme temperatures requiring special attention to the protection of personnel and equipment.
- Developing and managing the numerous interfaces.
- Hands on approach with frequent visit to vendor locations
- Capable of managing uncertainties by planning contingency options
- Delivering the project on time and within budget.
- Challenging Wells, both size and complexity.
- CRI, Big Bore Gas, Oil, Producers, Smart Water Injectors, ERD, Land Rig Water Disposal Wells
- Communicate effectively with Russians and non-English speaking personnel.
