One of the biggest Oil&Gas service companies in the world has announced an immediate opening for an Operations Manager. Excellent compensation package’s on offer.
Job is offered as a rotational/commuter position. Operations Manager will be based at the Country Office located in Aksai, Kazakhstan and will report directly to the Regional Manager.
• Fluent Russian
• At least 15 years in oil industry
• At least 10 years of Cementing or Coiled Tubing experience
• At least 5 years on management position with more than 100 employees and more than 15MUSD year revenue
• At least 2-3 years of managing operation for big international oil/gas companies
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
• Propose and gain approval for long and short-term plans for all operations within Kazakhstan enabling the Company’s commercial and financial objectives to be met. Ensure the submission of timely reporting requirements as directed by Country Management.
• Co-ordinate sales and service activities within Kazakhstan.
• Develop operational policy and procedures, which will ensure that the Company continues as a dynamic and profitable business.
• Ensure that key positions within the Operations group are staffed with the quality of people who are motivated to meet the Company’s operating requirements.
• Maintain frequent contact with customers to confirm Company performance meets expectation, enhance and promote Company products and services, negotiate new business and assist in the ultimate signing of contracts.
• Ensure the short and long range equipment and facility maintenance program within his area of responsibility. Have equipment in a state of readiness, provide the customer with the best possible service and obtain the maximum life of equipment consistent with the lowest possible cost.
• Ensure that operational activities comply with these policies and procedures and are performed in a cost-effective manner, maximizing the use of Company resources.
• Manage, motivate and discipline subordinates, enforce Company policies; rules and regulations. Maintain efficient and harmonious employee-employer relations.
• Manage operations in remote, environmentally sensitive locations and conditions ranging from –40 to +40 C.
• Ensure that immediate subordinates meet the objectives set and provide them with guidance and support to help them achieve required results.
• Provide competent personnel to carry out the present day-to-day business needs and prepare personnel for greater future responsibility.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and important suppliers so that the Company can meet its aim and objectives
• Ensures full awareness of and compliance with, the requirements of all relevant Company/Customer HSE Handbooks, HSE procedures and emergency procedures. Work with employees and the Kazakhstan Country team to achieve the goal of a Zero incident workplace.
• Actively ensures that his/her own health & safety and the health & safety of all fellow workers or other workers are preserved at all times.
