One of our clients, a Major International Oil&Gas Company seeks an experienced Exploration Drilling Manager to work in Moscow. Russian native speaker.
Objective of Position :
Increase the efficiency of exploration drilling in the Company via designing, executing and evaluating cycle for exploration drilling operations, standardizing the processes of exploration drilling operations, as well as providing valuable input for identifying opportunities to improve the performance of the Exploration Drilling /Projects.
Responsible for the detailed Drilling Engineering support to the Drilling Department, Exploration Department, Target Subsidiaries’ Drilling Departments, Exploration and Drilling Support Center.
Responsible for the overall management of the exploration drilling programs including wells concept, technical definition, cost estimates, budgeting, project execution & reporting including; scheduling, resourcing, sub-contract management, and end-of-project handover and closure for each and every Target Subsidiary. Implementation of new exploration drilling technologies.
Development and updating of the Company's Drilling and Sidetracking Strategy
• Develop Exploration Drilling Standards
• Participate in the development of the Company Unified Technology Policy in Drilling and Sidetracking
• Participate in development of Minimum Standards (MS) in Drilling, ST and associated services
• Participate in development of 5YP and annual plans jointly with TSs
• Participate in development of long-term contracting strategy
• Ensure control over development of TSs’ Drilling short-term strategies
Exploration Drilling Efficiency Improvement
• Manage all exploration drilling projects in Company
• Coordinate and standardize the process of operational data gathering and analysis
• Analyze the efficiency of delivered work
• Utilizes new technology to achieve outstanding results, cost savings to the company with acceptable margins for investment efficiency
• Provide a detailed Drilling Engineering support to TSs in designing and implementing exploration drilling projects
• Control of operational progress and plans via TS and Drilling Support center
• Provide engineering support to the TS Drilling Department , exploration Division Wellsite Supervisors and Wellsite Engineers
• Instruct and monitor the implementation of ‘Best Drilling Practices’ at wellsite and initiates updates on a continuous basis via TS
• Ensure that the proper and sound Engineering Methodology is implemented effectively within the requirements of the Exploration Program
• Support the Wellsite Supervisors in the preparation of job procedures when required and reviews operations on a daily basis via Drilling Support Center
• Ensure that the company economic and technical objectives are fully considered within all aspects of the technical and operational phases of the Exploration programs
• Responsible for economic and technical integrity of all well engineering performed on exploration projects
• Participate in the performance evaluation of service companies, suppliers and equipment
• Identify new Technology opportunities for Exploration drilling
• Identify and involves the Selection of Contractors for Technical and Commercial aspects
• Perform audits and inspections, provides final qualification for UT Drilling department perusal
Exploration projects planning and management
• Prepares short and long term work plans and manages the execution process, with a suitable tracking mechanism
• Involve TS , Institutes , Drilling support center and Contractors Engineering departments in planning and execution of exploration drilling projects
• Establish and maintain a manual of ‘Best Drilling Practices’ and ensures that learning’s are captured and communicated via TS Drilling Departments, Exploration Division and Drilling Support Center
• Forecast and plans medium and long term needs to meet program requirements among HQ Licensing Department, Technology Block, Exploration Department.
• Forecast operational changes and needs and revise plan accordingly with relevant parties
• Ensure all contractor and logistics personnel are informed of current operations and requirements via TS Drilling Department Exploration Division.
