Anotech ENERGY is a subsidiary that belongs to Alten S.A which is a French Engineering consulting group that counts over 15 000 employees in 18 countries.
This position is based in Russia. The 3rd Mate will be involved in a major Oil & Gas EPC project.
Activities:
• Ensure all navigation operations are carried out in accordance to Company policies and procedures;
• Operate dynamic positioning (DP) equipment under the direction of the 2nd Mate;
• Assist in maintaining the rig in a stable condition and at the correct draft and trim;
• Assist in the setup of the DP system operational parameters – ensure all DP system data are recorded;
• Assist in performing Preventive Maintenance on DP equipment;
• Assist with running and maintaining records for hydrophones and subsea beacons;
• Make regular use of the onboard simulator for training purposes, where available;
• Ensure there is adequate power and reserves of power for the maintenance of position and operations – give immediate attention to any problems;
• Ensure that all defects and anomalies are reported to the 2nd Mate or Chief Mate and relevant department heads. Maintain records of these and ensure they are corrected adequately;
• Understudy the 2nd Mate and deputize as required;
• Assist as required maintaining and carrying out PM’s on all marine department equipment as per RMS and under the direction of the Chief Mate/Senior Mate;
• Carry out assigned duties in a safe manner according to Company policies and procedures;
• Perform assigned duties during emergency situations and emergency protection responses as designated on the station bill;
• Ensure Company and regulatory requirements for environmental protection are complied with;
• Participate in the weekly meetings, FOCUS Improvement Program, and all other Company Safety Management Systems;
• Ensure a high standard of hygiene and housekeeping is maintained onboard the rig.

Qualifications and Experience required:
• Min 10 years of offshore experience;
• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Valid Unlimited 3rd Mates License;
• Valid medical examination and vaccination certificates;
• Knowledge of all technical calculations required for the safe operation of the drilling unit and basic computer skills;
• GMDSS License;
• Lifeboatman Certificate;
• 2-3 years experience in oil and gas;
• Fluent in English (speaking and writing);
• Fluent Russian is mandatory;
• Good communication skills, able to work in a multicultural environment.
