Responsibilities:
Analyze various factors concerning pipe system installation and analyze the process for completing the plant piping installation every step of the way;
Assist construction manager to plan the construction project that will be taking place in conjunction with the results they found due to their analysis of this project;
Review design output and vendor documents, Verify design constructability and compliance with codes and standards including procedure compliance, submit constructability comments;
Receives RFIs from subcontractors and inspects the requested works/stages/objects, etc., signs, rejects or comments the RFIs and attachments;
Review and comment Work Method Statements (WMS), ITPs and Procedures received from subcontractors;
Review design output and vendor documents, verify design constructability including procedure and code compliance, submit constructability comments;
Planning and coordination of construction field execution activities within the technical discipline. Development of all technical documentation required to execute piping installation activities;
Communicate and work effectively with other disciplines/parties, requesting information and providing data on time, ensure that all codes, standards and procedures are followed and that good engineering practice is applied in all instances;
Perform and supervise piping pre-fabrication, installation, modification, maintenance and testing of various systems and components;
To inspect the Project Material as per the standards and project specification.
To inspect the fit-up
To supervise the welding processes at site and in shop for compliance with the WPS and project specifications
To inspect the complete weld (visual inspection testing as per standards).
Ensure compliance of works with the project procedures and ITPs;
Oversight of all field installation activities including inspections and problem resolution which requires extensive interface and coordination with design engineering;
Installation work execution plan and installation sequence development;
Coordinate with QC to generate inspection and test records;
Coordinate and expedite work plan, timely report updated work execution status to construction manager;
Must inspect the product on daily basis to ensure that all rules, regulations and guidelines have been explicitly followed;
Daily site check many times to ensure that the work execution plan fits the location;
Monitor and supervise progress, daily progress record and ensure to meet work schedule;
Coordinate with designer for preparation of as-built P&IDs and related documentation for handover to client;
Liaise with relative client representatives.
