For the project in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russia we are looking for qualifief (Senior) Concept Well Engineers.
Qualification requirements:
- Higher professional education in Engineering
- Additional training in Drilling, Completions and Well Services Operations
- Knowledge of well design and knowledgeable about latest technology related to well design and completion.
- The minimal previous work experience under the speciality shall be:
- 7 years for Senior Concept Well Engineer.
- At least 2 years exposure to Rig operation in a supervisory position.
Job Description:
- Responsible for all well engineering/services aspects of the well conceptual process and challenging the following activities: Design, Construct, Modify or Abandon wells
- Generate conceptual well designs in support of the field development plans and asset reference plans such that the Asset’s oil and gas reserves can be explored/developed economically
- Act as the well engineering/services liaison for the Assets
- Accountable for the conceptual well design and options
- Accountable for the input in detailed drilling/completion proposal, budget and VAR
- Capture, initiate & implement new Well Engineering technological opportunities in Field Development Plans
- Provide support to all RTL (Realising the Limits) initiatives and to facilitate learnings / technology transfer to Asset team members on areas critical to the business
- Contribute to field development plans (FDPs), asset reference plans (ARPs) and detailed drilling/completion programmes
- Identify non-routine long lead material requirements for projects
- Actively participate in the discussion for the drilling sequence and integrated planning
- Optimise well design and incorporate new technology challenges. All field developments are different and each requires innovative and novel techniques to obtain breakthrough performance and be economic. KPI: NPV increase, CAPEX reduction
- Fully own, support and implement the Global Well Delivery Process requirements in activities in which you are engaged
candidates shall have the knowledge of:
- Well engineering
- HSE
- Drilling Equipment (Drill String, Bits and Coreheads)
- Drilling Operations (Drilling hydraulics, Casing and Cementing, Directional drilling, Borehole surveying)
- Drilling engineering (Drilling fluids, Casing design, Drilling Well Control, Advanced Well Technology, Underbalanced drilling)
- Completion and workover operations
- Well Services
- Production operations
- Geology and petrophysics
- Russian technical regulation system i.e. requirements of relevant governmental bodies: RosTechNadzor (RTN) and other Russian Approvals organisations in Well Construction
- Delivers results
Position Location: Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk office
Work Pattern : Mondays-Fridays from 9:00 a.m. till 6:00 p.m.
