Geotechnical Engineer

This position is based in Russia. The Geotechnical Engineer will be involved in a major Oil & Gas EPC’s project.

Activities:

• Analyze and interpret geologic information and develop conceptual models for engineering projects;
• Participate in field investigations and site inspections and conduct safety analyses;
• Prepare designs, reports, specifications and other deliverables for geotechnical schemes;
• Allocate tasks to other members of the Geotechnical Team and monitor progress;
• Monitor of the designs produced to ensure they meet the design briefs;
• Ensure the quality system is actively applied to all geotechnical schemes.
• Gather data, implement lab tests and investigate computer-generated analysis;
• Communicate and work with a team of hydrogeologists, construction engineers, structural engineers etc.;
• Seek innovation in the delivery of schemes and techniques used in design and construction;
• Work with databases, perform calculations, prepare technical reports and make presentations to management and regulatory oversight groups;
• Develop cost estimates and project schedules, and communicate regularly with other members of the engineering team, construction employees and clients;
• Write and prepare project proposals, write lab results, calculate analytical findings;

Qualifications and Experience required:

Graduate engineer preferably with Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering, with a specialty in geotechnical engineering;
Minimum 6 years experience;
Fluent in English (speaking and writing);
Fluent Russian is mandatory;
Good communication skills, able to work in a multicultural environment.
