This position is based in Moscow, Russia. The Lead HVAC Engineer will be involved in a major Oil & Gas operator’s project.
Activities:
• To lead and coordinate the HVAC/Winterization scope and deliverables of the project during the detailed design and procurement phases.
• To supervise LNG plant main EPC Contractor design of relevant discipline and provide assistance/support to pre-commissioning and commissioning/start-up preparation teams.
• To ensure PLANT HVAC/winterization design consistency, optimization, operability and flexibility which implies interfaces management and leadership towards other packages.
• To ensure that PLANT EPC design of HVAC/winterization discipline complies with S.O.R., contract documentation, schedule, budget and safety practices.
• To avoid LNG plant EPC Contractor stand-by/delays by prompt response to engineering queries or/and request for waiver (if any) and unexpected technical issues, by a proactive and proficient approach
• To lead and coordinate the HVAC/Winterization scope and deliverables of the project during the detailed design and procurement phasesTo monitor and highlight the interfaces within the LNG plant EPC packages (in particular with technical safety, electrical, civil and control systems disciplines) and with the other packages of the PLANT in relation to the HVAC discipline.
• To participate in technical reviews during the detailed design execution: to provide support and expertise and contribution on HVAC and winterization issues.
• To ensure proper reporting, highlighting critical issues to the Engineering Manager or his deputy and proposing remedial actions.
• To contribute to improving the project lessons learnt and personnel skills.
• To contribute to the advancement of working methods and tools within his speciality.
• To advise the Engineering Manager or his deputy on solutions to HVAC and winterization issues.
• Ensure that the design of installations meets the requirements of the project specifications, Safety Concept, S.O.R and other related documents.
• Guarantee the quality of HVAC/winterization studies and associated deliverables. Monitor and coordinate the LNG plant EPC Contractor and guide the design of the installations by close participation in the design activities, review and comment on the corresponding detailed design deliverables.
• Participate in technical meetings, challenge the Contractor, monitor and promote cost saving solutions in the design. Promote alternatives for HVAC/winterization design to optimize works and schedule.
• Report to Engineering Manager or his deputy on progress of his activity and on changes to basis for design, in particular as early as possible when anticipated, anticipate problems in his disciplines and inform Engineering Manager or his deputy.
• Ensures that HVAC/winterization part of all engineering activities is performed in order to execute project as per Company know-how, with required level of quality, safely and with respect of environment, within the agreed time schedule and cost.

Qualifications and Experience required:
Graduate engineer with minimum 12 years experience as HVAC/Building specialist in oil and gas industry;
Fluent in English (speaking and writing) French would be an advantage;
Fluent Russian is mandatory;
Good communication skills, able to work in a multicultural environment.
