Our client is looking for a Principal Reservoir Engineer for the team in London. They require someone with at least 15 years experience in Reservoir Engineering specifically in Development Projects. Experience in heavy oil is extremely desirable.
This is a long-term consultancy role. Our client is a service provider but going forward is acting like an operator. They are becoming more and more involved in Joint Ventures with all the major operators and NOC's worldwide where they take over mature fields in order to use their expertise and specialist knowledge in increasing well productivity through well enhancements etc. aiming to drastically increase numbers of barrels being produced from these existing browfields before operators/NOC's have to hand ownership back to local governments. This is an exciting technique which will eventually be rolled out across the industry as reserves begin to run out.
Qualifications & Experience:
Ability to work as an individual contributor in an integrated technical study team to deliver dynamic subsurface modelling as input to asset valuation, and development of work programmes and budgets
Deep and wide experience with Mature Field rejuvenation/optimization required (and greenfield development planning, aspired)
Ideal candidates will have 15+ years experience with a major upstream oil and gas operator and/or Independent upstream operator or multinational oilfield services company
International exposure. Used to working with multi-disciplinary teams distributed over multiple locations
Expertise in project valuation / development economics. Commercial awareness/mentality
Petroleum Engineering degree (BSc/BA, MSc or PhD) from a recognised university
