Position Buyer (Lubricant Oil Blending Plant)
Accountabilities
• Execute buying activities below a defined threshold according to CPPM: conduct procurement events, use Bidding procedures, Preferred Suppliers etc, negotiate contract terms and conditions, finalize contracts, place purchase orders, liaise with end-users as to ensure their needs are met in relation to ordering goods and services, provide guidance and support to CoB
• Deliver value improvements by developing and implementing regional CP strategies and implementing the regional component of global strategies
• Business interface for C&P on a day-to-day basis with local business stakeholders and ensure local business needs are met
• Model options for award strategies to optimize value including quality, commerciality, and timing/speed to market
• Manage supplier relationships including resolution of operational and supplier performance issues relating to the contracts
• Interact, align and maintain close productive relationships with business stakeholders
• Responsible for ensuring contracts can be operationalised effectively within the context of the standardized RtP process
Participate as required in initiatives to drive improvement in the organization.
Project features :
• Position of a buyer in the Marketing Purchasing organization to be concentrated on the buying for the company Downstream for plant LOBP
• Execute buying activities within CP MK Purchasing up to $100k for the Plant scope in accordance with CPPM process and HSSE, CARM requirements.
• Diverse contracts (various categories): up to 20 contracts managed per month, up to 60 contracts to be delivered in 2011
Requirements
• Procurement background with minimum 1-2 years relevant
• Sound understanding of Contract & Procurement activities
• Commercial experience with a strong customer focus
• English - good command
• Previous experience of working with a SAP-ERP system – preferable
• Requisition to Pay (RtP) experience - preferrable
