Wellsite (Field) Geologist
|
Position is open in international producing company, location is oilfield base in Tyumen region. Rotational basis 28*28 days.
Responsibilities:
• To provide geological support for drilling operations e.g. casing and coring points picking up, swellable packers depth, drilling hazards notification, cuttings and core description, HC shows analysis.
• To train Wellsite Junior Geologists in field of geology, logging interpretation basics” and “Coaching and supporting MFA’s”
QA/QC and support of logging operations (PEX, XPT, SuperCombo, etc.).
• To produce a preliminary interpretation of logging data at the well site and reporting.
• To review and report all problems through the After Action Review process
• To do the Daily geological reporting; to perform the Weekly QA/QC of mudlogging services
• To produce a Winlog composite well log issued from spud till end of Conductor section and after TD. To update Winlog with all necessary data (survey details, mud parameters, drilling parameters, logging field data, lithological data); Composite log and Well file 2 days after cementing
• To collect information for End of Well Reports from spud to first oil.
• To be the well site representative for PLT, CBL and perforation correlation jobs.
• To perform core operations. To report the results once core operations are finished.
Requirements:
• The minimum educational requirement: Bachelors of Science in Petroleum Engineering, Petroleum Geology or equivalent higher education degree.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in petroleum industry.
• The Employee should have working knowledge of Petroleum Engineering, Petroleum Geology, Petrophysics, Well Services, Drilling, and Operations activities.
• The Employee should have knowledge of:
- Geological disciplines (regional geology, stratigraphy, sedimentology, lithology, mineralogy, petrophysics);
- Geophysical disciplines: open hole logging , Wireline logging, Tough Logging Conditions (TLC or LWD logging), cased hole logging, seismic geophysics;
- Other disciplines: drilling operations, mudlogging, cementation and completion;
• Software: MS Office, WinLog, Techlog, Petrel.
• The Employee should have: a natural improvement drive, strong interpersonal, communication and team working skills, technical, commercial and negotiation experience, ability to work and manage in
a multi-cultural environment, a driving license for light vehicles.
