Place of work: Nigeria, Lagos
Contract: 2 years with possible prolongation
Schedule: 2-3 months on, and 2-3 weeks off
Salary: 5000 Euro - 6500 Euro per month net.
Tasks
This project contains the construction of 3 buildings, worth approximately 120 million €. Together with the project manager, you are responsible for the complete follow up of the MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) issues of these buildings.
- You are in charge of the analysis and the approval of the MEP designs, delivered by the consulting firm.
- You calculate the impact on cost and time due to variation and change of orders from the client.
- You crosscheck for consistency of the mechanical, electrical and plumbing drawings and ensure the accuracy of the different plans.
- You are responsible for the scheduling and planning for MEP material procurement.
- You oversee and manage the work required for installation, construction, operation and maintenance of the MEP networks.
- Finally, you manage the commissioning phase of mechanical, electrical and plumbing installation and are in charge of collecting the test results, certificates even as the assembling of the relevant O&M Manuals.
Profile
- You have a degree in Mechanical or electrical engineering
- You have at least 6 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in an international working environment, and have already supervised a team of at least 6 people.
- A good working knowledge of European norms concerning techniques, tools, equipment and materials used for MEP installations is necessary. A good knowledge of safety measures and precautions is also important.
- You are a born team player and proactive. You enjoy regular communication and have good interpersonal skills.
- Finally, you are fluent in English.
