Snr Drilling Supervisor
|
Responsibilities
On a day-to-day basis you’ll manage all operations associated with the well, including:
- planning & scheduling
- resource allocation
- cost control
- clear & concise reporting of all well site activities and events
You will optimize operational performance through the rigorous implementation of the DtL (Deliver-the-Limit) process without compromising HSE, well integrity or the integrity of the drilling unit.
Defining well control criteria, maintaining well control and executing well kill operations
Programming and executing well drilling, workover, completion and abandonment operations
Managing the HSE aspects in relation to well activities by using industry standard HSE risk identification and mitigation tools
Designing drill-string and bottom-hole assemblies and selecting drill bits
Requirements
To be successful in your application, you will need to:
- possess at least a higher education Diploma (eg. HND or equivalent) but preferably a Bachelors Degree or higher in a technical or engineering subject
- have significant overall experience of well engineering / drilling activities with proven experience as a Drilling Supervisor. Experience in leadership and operations supervision, in particular with respect to HSE awareness and management is a must.
- be IWCF Certified
- have good knowledge of well analysis software
Experience in specialist areas such as HP / HT and, or Under-balanced Drilling and, or Extended Reach Drilling environments will be an advantage.
To be considered for a Senior position in this role, you will be expected to have extensive experience as a Drilling Supervisor including proven experience with all rig types and in-depth operational expertise in the above mentioned specialist topics.
High level of English.
