Senior E&I Designer
|
Foreign company is looking for Senior E&I Designer. This work is based on permanent employment condition in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (Sakhalin 1, 2 projects). Company provides employee and his family mobilization to the project and other good social benefits.
Basic Functions • To prepare and/or modify instrumentation design deliverables from Engineering Data, Design Data and Vendor Data • To prepare and/or modify electrical design deliverables (preferably including Trace Heating) from Engineering Data, Design Data and Vendor Data • To check detailed design deliverables for correctness and compliance with design requirements • To provide CAD designer skills for the instrument and electrical group or to undertake CAD training if required to become a proficient CAD user this should be a pre-requisite, so training should not be required. • To become proficient in the understanding of and usage of Company and Client standards, procedures and practices • To become proficient in the understanding, selection and application of instrument and electrical equipment in Hazardous Areas • To prepare Material Take-offs and Bills of Materials • To carry out document searches via LiveLink and Documentum • To support the E/I offshore survey effort with occasional offshore survey trips • To assist in the preparation of Workpacks for construction purposes • To review Vendor drawings for correctness and compliance with design requirements • Work and use INTools.
Interpersonal Skills: The candidate will be a keen learner will be motivated to improve self and to accept tuition from the senior E/I team members.
Competencies: The candidate will be able to operate as part of a small team, will demonstrate good safety awareness, will have an ‘Adequate’ command of the English language, capable of checking other E&I members design deliverables..
Business & Industry Experience: The candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years experience of an engineering design environment and preferably some experience of CAD packages. Additional experience of a E/I construction environment would be an advantage as is any formal qualification in the oil & gas industry.
Educational Attainments: Engineering degree in electrical or instrumentation & controls preferred. A local qualification in oil & gas or any associated industry including pharmaceutical, food, marine shipping, building etc would be an advantage.
