Experience: • 7+ years' experience in geological operations; • Strong professional skills in geoscience; • Good field mapping skills; • Good understanding of modern exploration methods; • Report writing and documentation skills; • Experience in organizing and conducting field investigations, peer reviews; • Experience with geological documentation; • Very familiar with exploration and mine modelling software ArcGIS/Microm ine/Surpac/Datamine; • Familiarity with JORC code requirements; • Knowledge of Russian/Kazakh mining law Personal qualities: • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team and ensure team functions well together; • Ability to achieve goals and deadlines; • Ability to provide technical project leadership and drive the team from within when required; • Coach and mentor junior geologists
Responsibilities: • Duties will primarily include quality control of all exploration activities and liaising with local exploration specialists, field work including prospection/exploration activities and reports' preparation, supervision and quality assurance of core drilling, logging, sampling, assay analyses and data interpretation, liaising with drill contractors and prepare exploration plans and reports; • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of other geologists.
