The job holder manages, under the responsibility of Package Manager, all technical activities related to the civil works and structural design from the Basic engineering up to EPCC phases. The job holder is the main interlocutor of Survey, Engineering and LLI’s Contractor(s) for civil works and structural technical issues. He liaises with the relevant Company specialists whenever required.
During the project, the Job Holder has to: • Review and digest the pre-project studies. Verify adequacy of the basis of design. • Verify the deliverables to be produced for civil and structural works. • Coordinate and supervise surveys for civil works and structural studies for new appraisal and production pads, access roads, water injection, oil & gas export pipelines. • Check that the design is developed in line with the Pre-Project and the Statement of Requirements. • Ensure coordination of civil and structural activities with other Specialists within the project team. Ensure global consistency of the design. • Up-date and comment the documents and issue the as-built drawing to the Author ship • Develop as required design proposals under Autocad. • Control and comment the documents issued by contractor(s) and check that they are as per Company specifications and rules and Russian standards and practices. Review and answer the Engineering Queries and Requests For Waiver. • Call for and participate to necessary technical and/or co-ordination meetings required to achieve the performance of the work. • Follow-up and assist Contractor(s) activities: strong guidance may be expected. • Liaise with site team to collect necessary data for the project through GEODETIC support. • Coordinate civil works supervision. • Manage technical interfaces related to civil works and structural between EPC Contractors. • Ensure, coordinate and follow-up feed-back during civil works and structural execution. • Ensure proper preparation of civil works and structural as-built documentation and proper hand-over to commissioning team. • Participate to site/Contractor(s) visits as necessary. • Participate in engineering meetings. • Provide input to the Package Manager for Project progress reporting (data, narrative …), outlines critical problems and proposes corrective actions and liaise with Field Project Engineer if required. • Assist the Package Manager in the preparation of the civil works and structural work program and estimations to translate it into yearly budget, and further revisions (through PDC-02, 06, 09 and closure) • Ensure the satisfactory completion of project in terms of civil works surveys, engineering and execution. • Manage and control (technical, budget and schedule …) and approve the civil / structural works engineering studies during the Project execution in line with Company Referential, Master Development Plan, Russian norms and practices. • Anticipate potential problems of interfaces. Analyse and propose corrective actions. • Optimise as much possible the design for any potential cost savings within acceptable safety and quality limits.
Work location: Position based in Moscow with frequent trips within Russia. Long-term business trip to Contractor premises is also possible.
